How it works

I will be carefully selecting a candidate from the pound or a local rescue organization within Taranaki.
Selecting a canine will be done with careful consideration. Its important to choose a dog who will have a fair chance at succeeding beyond the program.
I will be selecting a dog who shows me they want to thrive and is prepared to put in the work. This program is not only for puppies but for older dogs as well.
All breeds will be considered as well as the canines who have been in limbo the longest.

Are they willing to learn or showing signs of being responsive to training? If yes then they would make a wonderful candidate.
Consider their history. Have they had any dangerous behavior's emerge in the past? Then they might not be the best for the program.
Have they been overlooked for potential homes or require a particular type of owner and need to be promoted better? They might make a good nomination.
How is their health? This could be a factor to consider.
